Due to the varying documentation formats of suites under development and the rapid changes being made to these suites, we have decided not to include the actual preliminary suite documents on this CD. Instead, we urge you to contact the individuals listed below and participate in the design and implementation of the suites currently in progress.

These suites are being championed by individual developers working with their peers to create standardized Apple events and objects for use with AppleScript and between cooperative applications. Each suite has a person to contact for more information. See the suites themselves for this information.
The Database suite is as close to final as it can be without actually being there. The early adopters have survived the implementation and the suite is implemented in several shipping applications. In its final incarnation the document will be a DocViewer file available on the Developer CD series, early next year.
The Telephony Suite is currently approaching final after a rework to make it agreeable with the Telephone Manager. The suite is currently being reviewed and will be revised based on comments and suggestions gathered from the current list of interested parties. If you would like to be an interested party, please contact with Michael Bayer at AppleLink address: BAYER1.
There are a number of other suite proposals that haven’t reached the stage of documentation and deliberation. Feel free to visit the Apple Event bulletin board on Applelink (the path is Developer Support : System 7 Talk : Apple Events Discussion) where public discussions about Apple Events and suite design are carried on. This is an ideal place to ask questions and begin the process of designing a suite.
General suite information and discussion is also available from Jon Pugh, the Apple Event Registrar, at Applelink REGISTRY or at (408) 862-7094. Feel free to call or write with questions, comments or suggestions for future suite development.
If you have a suite that you are creating, please contact the Registrar. One important service provided is the resolution of conflicts between constants in everyone’s aete resources. Since these constants must be unique, you need to register your suite in Apple’s database to insure conflict-free constant harmony.
